A very nice Gothic style late Edwardian chandelier, circa 1920.
It does not have the over-the-top churchy look, but a nice subtle medieval motif which, we believe, is quite charming.
The simple amber glass shades shelter the bulbs and completely release the heat.
Totally re-wired in our UL shop, and will be supplied with all the mounting hardware necessary to install it immediately without further shopping...except for light bulbs. The sockets for this chandelier can accommodate light bulbs up to 100 watts incandescent.
Measurements: 31†tall by 17 1/2†diameter.
$650.00 complete...plus $50.00 for ground shipping within the contiguous 48 states.
Residents of Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico to pay a $65.00 surcharge to cover extra shipping costs to these areas.
International Customers: shipping costs will be calculated and invoiced separately. If you would like a shipping quote before purchase, please contact us...we would be happy to oblige!

Very LARGE and important pair of sconces with antique French shades.
At this time, we actually have four sconces --2 pairs-- but are selling one pair at a time.
We have remade the frames for these shades as the original one we had looked like it had been run over by a truck. Still...from the parts we rescued and the carving we accomplished, a great result was finally achieved.
The shades date from about 1920 - 1930, and are some of the finest of French glass making. They are about 3/8†thick at the edges...really beautiful glass. The glass shades are fully and deeply embossed with the flowers protruding from the surface, and the diamond edges are also nicely embossed.
We actually received five of these shades. We also experimented with some amber glass dye on the one shade that was broken, which gave us some interesting results. We toyed with the idea of making the shades amber...so if you like this idea...perhaps we could do that for you.
We carefully considered the placement of the candelabrum sockets since the original backplate was missing all hints of the previous arrangement. After experimenting with types and arrangements of candelabrum sockets, we settled on a 3 socket arrangement which highlights the rose and floral décor, yet still fills in the bottom of the shade which often is left dark in other sconces. Candelabrum sockets are required due to the limited interior of the sconce.
Totally wired in our UL shop, with sockets capable of up to 75 watts incandescent each. However, antique shades are particularly susceptible to breakage from temperature extremes, so we recommend using LED light bulbs (as pictured). LED bulbs emit more lumens of light per watt consumed, and do not produce as much heat as incandescent bulbs.
Measurements: An impressive LARGE 14†tall by 11 1/2†wide. The longest projection point from the wall into the room is 3 1/2†at the center large rose on the shade.
$1,375.00 for one complete pair of sconces (as shown)...plus $35.00 for careful Ground shipping within the contiguous 48 states.
Residents of Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico to pay a $45.00 surcharge to cover extra shipping costs to these areas.
International Customers: Shipping costs will be calculated and invoiced separately. If you would like a shipping quote before purchase, please contact us...we would be happy to oblige!

This Chinese porcelain blue and white plate is 9" in diameter. There are trees and flowers, probably roses, in the center, along with what looks like a butterfly on the left. There are three sections of flowers around the rim. The background is bluish gray. There is a lustrous brown enamel edge, sometimes called Batavia brown, cafe au lait, etc. The plate dates to at least the 19th century, with a good possibility that it is 18th century. The condition is quite good for an antique, and there are no cracks. There are a few small flakes on the back near the edge, not visible from the front, and a small chip in the brown enamel edge, which is quite minor. (Shipping and insurance are additional.) « Less

This blue and white Ming Period bowl is 3-1/8" high, 6-1/4" diameter at the top. Formerly known as "Swatow" ware, this bowl has an orange peel texture, a sign of age and a crackle finish. Bonham's auction house in New York City has confirmed that the bowl is Ming and probably of Southeast Asian origin, possibly Vietnam. The condition is quite good for a piece that is about 500 years old, no cracks or chips. There is very minor fritting around the top edge, common in a piece of this age. Shipping and insurance are additional. You may view more of my items at www.anitataub.rubylane.com « Less
