For Sale is a beautiful piece of Art Glass made by Mont Joye of Paris, France. There are beautiful Enameled Pansies on a base glass of Amethyst to Clear. The Vase is very tall as it stands 11 3/4" tall and is approximately 4 7/8" in diameter at the base. The opening at the top of the vase is 3" outside diameter.
The Vase depicts wonderful enameling of multi-colored Pansies. There is Off White to Yellow, Solid Yellow, Lilac Purple to deep Purple accented with Yellow Pansies in full bloom. The detail in the enameling is outstanding. You can see the Pistils in three of the four opened blooms. There are also Two Lily Buds just to the left of the top two blooming flowers and 2 Buds to the right corner of the bottom Blooms. There are also sprigs of ferns in the background painted in Gold that give the artwork a wispy feeling of Spring in the air. There are also leaves with nice shading of Greens and Blue Greens throughout the pattern. These leaves are outlined in Gold. The pattern is predominately on one side of the Vase. The Mottled Gold Enameling along the top Border finishes this piece exquisitely.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. There is very minor gold enamel loss around the top rim as you can see that most of it is there. The beauty is in the Color and Enameling of the Vase. The Vase is signed in with the letter "P" in Red and the number "5" or the letter "S" in green. This is probably the artist or finishers mark. This Vase also has a countersunk polished pontil. This is the sign of quality piece of art glass. This Pattern is also hard to find. You commonly find the Iris and Lily but rarely find the Pansy Pattern.
This is a brief History of Mont Joye Glass.
Glass bearing the name «deVez», «Mont Joye», and «Pantin» was produced by the same company. E. S. Monot at La Villette near Paris founded this company in 1850. In 1859, known as «Cristallerie de La Villette» the company was transferred to Pantin, at that time a suburb of Paris and now a part of Paris. After F. Stumpf joined the company in 1868 it became «Monot & Stumpf». In 1873 Monot's son joined the company and the name changed to «Monot, Pere et Fils et Stumpf». About 1894 the company became known as the «Stumpf, Touvier, Violette & Cooye,» and the same company produced «Pantin». After WW1 merged with Legras & Cie.
This is an extremely large Mont Joye Vase. You commonly find 6-8" Versions and sometimes you can find 10" ones. It is considered somewhat Rare to find one that is almost 12" tall. It was very common for these tall vases to get knocked over and broken. This one is NOT!! This Vase is in amazingly Great Shape for being 100+ years old.
Mont Joye enameled glass was produced at the turn of the Century. It was extremely popular both in Europe and North America. This is an extremely large Mont Joye Vase. This type glass was of high quality and became very desirable among Fine Glass Collectors. This Vase was made Circa 1900-1915. « Less

For Sale is a beautiful piece of art glass made by the Moser Glass works Company of Karlsbad, Austria. The form is a Wheel Cut and Gold Gilded Cabinet Vase. The Vase has a petite size to it as it stands 3 3/8" tall and is 3 1/4" in diameter. The top opening is roughly 1 1/2" in diameter outside measurement.
The Vase has a bulbous bottom with an elongated neck with applied handles. The vase has a wonderful and beautiful Amethyst Colored Neck that was blown off of a clear body background glass. It has 3 applied handles that somewhat resemble twigs. The Vase is further decorated with wonderful wheel cut art nouveau flowers. There appears to be 3 different flowers. One of the flowers looks like a Lily, another like a Tulip and the last one like a Wild Rose. The details in the flowers and leaves is outstanding as you can see detailed veining and the folds and creases in the flowers. To finish and add some color to this vase the raised Twig Style branches have been Gold Gilded along with the top lip and along the exterior edge of the lip.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There is some Gold Gilding loss especially to the flat top lip as pictured. The other areas are marginal. One could have this re-gilded if they wanted to. There are several scratches on the bottom flat side and is typical on clear crystal glass with age. The piece is not signed and more than likely had a paper label at one time.
This is a Quality and Lovely piece of art glass and would be a wonderful addition to ones art glass collection. I'm quite sure the lucky buyer will not be disappointed with the purchase of this vase. This Vase was made Circa 1880-1900. « Less

Good-sized 19th century brooch, domed shape with open rococo scroll design. Central area set with 5 large aquamarines. There is some decorative engraving to the leaves of the scrolls. Brooch measures 37 mm by 56 mm wide and 16 mm thick. Hollow made, so light, possibly early 19th century with slightly longer pin and C clasp. No hall marks, but tested as 9ct yellow gold. There are some minor splits to one of the scrolls (see extreme closeup photos), but nothing evident to the naked eye. There are a few small old repairs to the rear - not on the face of the brooch though. Overall, a very striking show-stopper of an antique brooch in very wearable condition. Total 9.56g. « Less

For Sale is a Lovely piece of Art Glass made by the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The shape is a Vase and the color is Green. The Vase is More »
For Sale is a Lovely piece of Art Glass made by the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The shape is a Vase and the color is Green. The Vase is large as it measures 6 5/16" tall and is 7 1/4" wide at the mouth. The base of this lovely Vase is 4 3/4" in diameter.
The pattern of this vase is known as Catalonian and was advertised as "Glass of Old Spain". It has a light Green color that is accented with air bubbles varied in size throughout the entire body of the piece. This is green Vaseline glass and has a great green glow under a black or UV light. There are horizontal rings that vary in size and spacing. The Vase display a triangular shaped body with a wide circular flared top lip. The lip is not perfectly round and gives this piece that hand blown look. The vase has an Art Deco appeal and you can see the influence of Lalique Glass in this and many other early pieces produced by this company.
This particular line was created by Reuben Haley who was known as one of the best glass designers in the country. He was not only a glass master but also a sculptor and metal worker. He would mold his design from clay first and then produce it in glass and was the creator of the Ruba Rombic and Martele Line as well. The Muncie Pottery Company is also known for its' Ruba Rombic line which was also designed by Reuben Haley.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The Vase is unsigned but guaranteed to be Vintage Consolidated Glass. There is the typical rough pontil scar where it was broken away from the pipe and you can see that this was blown into a one piece mold from the mold line.
This a rare and hard to find form in the Catalonian Line so purchase with confidence. This Vase was made Circa 1927-1941. « Less

For sale is a beautiful Perfume Bottle made by Phoenix Art Glass. The Glass is hand blown from a pipe and has an Art Nouveau appeal to it. The Perfume measures approximately 6 1/8" tall and is 3 1/4" wide at the shoulder of the bottle The bottom of the bottle measures approximately 1 1/4" wide.
The Perfume Bottle depicts a beautiful Blue Aurene, Favrile iridescence. The top Stopper has a brilliant Gold Aurene, Favrile. They both have vertical ribbing and the combination works in harmony. The iridescence in both is just outstanding. The stopper shows brilliant hues of fuchsia in the low relief of the ribbing and looks just splendid. The top of the stopper is so thin and delicate it is amazing there is no damage!
The Perfume is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. There is an imperfection in one of the lower ribs iridescence. For Auction is a beautiful Art Glass Salt made by The Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company of Maspeth (Queens), Long Island New York. The Salt stands 1 1/8" tall and has a diameter of 2 5/8".
The Salt displays a gold Iridescence with very strong hues of Fuchsia on the outside and inside. When looking inside it is absolutely beautiful as you can see Platinum Blue, Purple, Green, and Strong Fuchsia tones. The piece changes in color as you turn it in the light. The Salt has Vertical Ribbing throughout and a very tiny raise and fire polished top lip. The salt was made to compete with L.C.T. Tiffany Favrile and Steuben Aurene Salts.
The Salt is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. This piece has a beautiful polished counter sunk pontil. It is signed on the bottom with the etched "Quezal" cipher as pictured.
Martin Bach Sr. was the founder of Quezal. He worked for L.C.T. Tiffany Studios from 1892-1902. The quality of his glass was as good as Tiffany, Steuben and Loetz. The Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Co was in business from 1902-1924. Quezal Art Glass pieces Rarely come up in today's market. They were more noted for their Art Glass Shades they produced by the tens of thousands. It appears that the collectors do not want to let these go. I'm quite sure the buyer will be very pleased with their purchase.
This salt was made, circa 1910-1915. « Less
