For Sale is a wonderful Art Glass Lily Shade. The shade is approximately 4 11/16" tall and the mouth or Flower opening of the shades is 3 3/8" in diameter. The fitter end measures 1 1/16" in diameter. These shades will fit into any standard 1 1/4" snap lily fitter cup. This lily shade displays a beautiful Red Feather Pull pattern with an irregular flower border edge. The Decorated Red Feather pull is against a calcite white body with gold iridescence on the inside of the shade. The Feather Pull is outlined in a brilliant Gold Favrile, Aurene glass that gives this shade its final touch. Red Feather pulls are quite Rare. These were a special order and not the normal stock item found on lily lamps for sale. Usually the bronze or solid brass lily lamps were found with solid gold or blue lily shades. If you were fortunate to find a feather pull lily shade it was more than likely a green one. This shade is cost effective replacement for any Tiffany Favrile, Steuben Aurene, Quezal, or Loetz lamp and chandelier that were used at the turn of the Century. These would have been used with single and multiple arm table and floor lamps as well as wall sconces and hanging chandeliers. These will work in any antique lamp or chandelier as long as they have a snap lily fitter cup of 1 1/4" to receive these shades. This is the standard size for these type lighting shades. Here is your chance to purchase this Lily shade for a fraction of what a Tiffany Original Lily Shade would cost. This shade is near perfect as there are no cracks, nicks, chips, or dings. For Sale is a beautiful art glass shade made by the Handel Lamp Company of Meriden, Connecticut. The shade is called a Bent Panel Flower Form Shade. The shade stands 4 5/16" tall to the top of the fitter. The Flower End has a 4 1/2" diameter and the Fitter end is 2 3/16" in diameter. The shade displays a Flower form shape comprised of bent panels of beige opalescent art glass that are slumped or bent. These are all soldered together in the copper foil method. There are 4 wide bent panels with 8 narrow ones. Each wide panel has 2 of these narrow panels on each side. The irregular bottom edge only enhances its realism to a flower form. The Glass is Kokomo Granite or Cats Paws textured art glass. The Fitter, bottom edge and exterior lead lines are done in an antique gold patina with the interior lead lines being a black patina. The Shade is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings to the bent panel. The Bottom has a heavy bottom border that gives it its added strength. The shade is unsigned but I am attributing this to have been made by The Handel Lamp Company based on its quality and construction. This shade would look outstanding in any wall sconce or table lamp that worked with an arts and crafts styled decor. This was made at the turn of the century, circa 1910-1920.   « Less

For Sale is a Desk Set or Tobacciana Collectible made by The Bradley and Hubbard Manufacturing Company of Meriden, CT. This desk set item is called a "Cigar Humidor". The Humidor is a large one as it stands 8" tall and is 6 1/8" in diameter at the foot. The Humidor is done in an Arts and Crafts Overlay Pattern of Poinsettia Leaves. There are 4 blow out half rounds of this leafy overlay pattern that has slumped Green Stained Glass behind it. These blow outs sit on a round foot and it has a nice and secure lid to lock in the freshness. The Patina is a mottled green and when you look inside the well you can see the original deep mottled green finish. When I first saw the Humidor from a distance I thought it was Tiffany. Tiffany Studios, Apollo Studios and Riviere Studios of New York all did overlay patterns on this same idea and also made Humidors. The Patina and finish is what lead me to this being made by Bradley and Hubbard. This Humidor appears to have been made for Cigars judging by the depth of the well. The piece is considered to be in very good condition to excellent condition. It does show signs of wear as some of the finish is missing in areas and the bottom platform has a small dent. Other than these minor age imperfections it is in wonderful condition. The Humidor still retains its original Medico Humidor pack under the lid behind the metal screen. I took the humidor apart to show all the parts. This is when I found the small pack. You never find these with these old humidors but we are lucky to have it with this one. I was also looking for a makers mark as well. The piece is not signed but the Mottled Patina Finish is trademarked Bradley and Hubbard finish and is as good as having a signature because of it. This is a hard to find item by Bradley & Hubbard. Cigar Clubs are back in fashion and I'm sure the Connoisseur of fine Cigars that decorates in and Arts and Crafts Mission style will enjoy storing his Cigars inside. For Sale is a wonderful hammered copper bowl made by Craftsman Studios of Laguna Beach, Ca. The item is a wonderful large centerpiece bowl. The Bowl has some size to it as it stands 3 5/8" tall and is 12" in diameter outside rings measurements. The bowl itself is 11 1/2" in diameter. This Bowl has a wonderful hand hammered copper background texture. The top lip is rolled and hand hammered as well. There are 2 large rings that are applied evenly at opposite ends. The Patina is a wonderful craftsman brown on the outside with a deep Verdi green on the inside. This Bowl is considered to be in good condition as there are no Cracks or major dents to the Metal. The Vase does show signs of use on the inside. It appears that it was used as a planter because of the calcium deposits and the Verdi Green Patina. The outside shows many scratches and wear in the patina. The Bowl is signed on the bottom. It has the Impressed "Craftsman Studios Handmade at Laguna Beach Calif" signature mark along with the shape Number "837" and "Utah Copper" which is also impressed into the metal. Craftsman Studios was an Arts and Crafts era through the 1950s copper craft shop operating out of Laguna Beach and Los Angeles California, producing hand wrought copper home and gift wares, occasionally working in brass and silver. Craftsmen Inc., renamed from Craftsman Studios Company of Laguna Beach, California by 1929. The Laguna Beach building was destroyed by flooding in the 1960s. Purchase with confidence as this Bowl will enhance any Arts and Crafts, Mission Style Decor. It will look outstanding on that Stickley Bookcase and will work just wonderful with that Matte Green Art Pottery Collection. For sale is a lovely piece of art pottery made by the Peters and Reed Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The shape is a Vase and it is the ever popular Chromal Scenic Landscape Line. The Vase has some size to it as it measures 8 1/2" tall and is 6" in diameter. The top opening measures 3 7/8" wide outside measurements. The Vase depicts an abstract scenic pattern that consist of Greens, Blues, Browns and Beige Glaze Combinations. These colors are accented in away to depict Trees and Mountains off in the distant. The Vase has a Classic Ovoid Shape with a flaring rim. It sits on a round foot that is also part of the body. The Vase has substantial weight and is of top quality. This Line is not be confused with the Landsun line. The Chromal Ware is very abstract in design. The treatment is different from the Landsun pattern line with the color forming the scenes. There is no definition to the design, leaving the interpretation of the scene to the viewer's imagination. Also, Chromal scenes go up and down the ware in contrast to going around like the Landsun line. The piece is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The Vase shows minor signs of wear as it has been taken very good care of from previous owners. The piece is unsigned however it is guaranteed to be Vintage Peters and Reed from the Chromal Pattern Line. This line is a well documented line from The Peters and Reed Company. You can see the Red Clay that is synonymous with Peters and Reed Pottery under the 3 stilt marks on the bottom. Peters and Reed Pottery (1897-1919) was bought out in 1920 and the name was changed to Zane Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio. They still produce some of the same styles as Peters and Reed. They changed from Red Clay to White Clay Products in 1926. Frank Ferrel designed this Line for Peters and Reed. He was employed there from 1906-1918. In 1918 he left Peters and Reed to work for Roseville Pottery. This is known as shape number 53 in the Peters & Reed Catalog pages. This Vase was made Circa 1920-1925.   « Less

For Sale is a very nice piece of Arty Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Bittersweet" and the form is a basket. It is done in the most popular Yellow and Brown Glaze combination. The Basket has some size to it as it stands 8 1/2" tall, and is 7 1/4" wide and 5" deep. The Basket has a lovely two tone yellow and light brown Terracotta background Glaze. The Basket displays a very pleasing pattern of berries with green leaves winding across the front and back side of the vessel. The background is has a grainy texture. The handle is molded and shaped to resemble a Brown Branch. The mold is crisp and well defined. The color mix is nice and even. The Basket is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, or chips. The only issue is a tiny flea glaze nick pictured and the underside bottom has an area in which it didn't get any glaze. It appears something round caused this. This is not damage as you can see in my close-up. It was made this way. This cannot be seen when displayed. There is also minor crazing which is common with this line. The piece is signed on the bottom with "Roseville U.S.A." in raised relief along with the mold number 809-8" also in raised relief. This is not a commonly found line and it is quite lovely. I'm sure the lucky buyer will be quite please with their purchase. It was created late in Roseville's years as this Basket was made Circa 1951. This pattern was in production for only 3 years as Roseville Pottery closed in 1954. These Baskets in this pattern are becoming harder and harder to find. For Sale is a beautiful Pattern of Art Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Bushberry" and it is done in the most desirable Blue Background Glaze. The Vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 6 3/8" tall and is 4 3/4" in diameter. The Pattern Displays very detailed embossed Maple Shaped Leaves and Clusters of Bush Berries dangling or growing from a stem out of the leaves. The Twig handle rises from the foot and attaches above half way up the vase. The background of the Vase resembles that of Tree Bark with a Horizontal Grain thus giving this vase that life like appearance. The background glaze is a country slate blue with wonderful deep sage greens applied to the embossed leaves and rolling off to the edges with brown bush berries dangling. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no, cracks, chips, nicks, or dings. There is some light glaze misses on the edge of the low size of the Cornucopia opening. This was made this way and not damage. It is amazing that the Twig handle has survived all this time without a flea nick! The Vase is signed on the bottom with "Roseville U.S.A." in Raised Relief along with the mold number 153-6". There is also the number "18" written in a blue grease pencil or deep blue glaze and the small leter "c". This was more than likely was the finishers number and initial. This is a Nice Cabinet Size in this Roseville Line. This is a Lovely piece of Art Pottery in a very desirable pattern and color. The Mold is Crisp and the Detail is just wonderful. The Vase has some size as it stands 7 3/16" tall and is 6 1/2" in diameter. The Twig handle on this Vase is outstanding as well as radical. One side has a double twig handle with the other side showing a smaller loop or ear shaped handle. The double handle side's Branch like handle is quite large. It starts from the bottom of the vessel just above the foot and rises up and attaching 3/4 of the way to the top. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no, cracks, chips, nicks, or dings. The Vase is very clean both inside and out. It is amazing that the Twig handles have survived all this time without even a flea nick! The Vase is signed on the bottom with "Roseville U.S.A." in Raised Relief along with the mold number 32-7". There is also the number "2" and a check mark written in a blue grease pencil or deep blue glaze. There is also the number "13" incised into the clay. These were more than likely the finishers numbers. This is a Lovely piece of Art Pottery in a very desirable pattern and color from Roseville. The Mold is Crisp and the Detail is just wonderful. For Sale is a lovely vase with a Spectacular Glaze made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Carnelian II" and the form is known as a "Doubled Handled Trumpet" Flower Vase. The Vase has some size as it stands 10 1/8" tall and is 5 3/4" in diameter outside handles measurement. The Vase displays a Fabulous Example of this Particular Glaze. There is a deep rich Purple Wisteria Glaze accented with Green that drips down from the top over the edge and down towards the bottom of the Vase. It swirls into a Pink to Dusty Rose Bubble Gum Glaze. It is accented with 2 large dramatic scroll styled handles that rise from the bottom and curl over and up meeting in the middle of the vase. It is then Marbleized with a lighter hue of Plum, more like Raspberry and Lilac at the bottom. The Glaze is Goopy and drippy as you can see and feel the thickness around the bottom edge of the Vase. It kinds of reminds me of Cotton Candy as the Glaze Looks that Yummy. The vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is not signed on the bottom and more than likely had a Paper or Black Foil Label at one time. I usually find these with a Red Crayon mold number on the bottom but this one does not have it. I believe this Shape was adapted from the Carnelian I Line. This was not uncommon for Roseville to do this with the Carnelian II line in their earlier years of this particular pattern. The inside of the Pot is Green which means it was originally intended to be a Carnelian I Vase but someone decided to glaze over this and it created this fabulous glaze in the Carnelian II Line. This is known as shape number 323-10" in the Roseville Pottery Catalog pages. The piece has an Arts and Crafts appeal. This Pot is all about the Glaze and Form and this one has it all. This is a great example of this particular glaze and I'm sure the buyer will not be disappointed. The Vase was made circa, 1915-1927.   « Less

For Sale is a beautiful piece of Art Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Cherry Blossom" and it is done in their most highly collected and sought after three color background Glaze. The piece has some size to it as it stands 6" tall and is 8 1/4" in diameter. The shape is considered a Planter or Jardinière. The pattern depicts vertically running Pink slits that covers two-thirds of the piece from the bottom to the Chest of the Vase. Clinging to the top of the stilts is a vine of fully opened Cherry Blossoms entangled with Brown Vines and Green Leaves. The background glaze is subtle as it bleeds from a Cherry tint leading upwards to a subtle Satin Matte Blue Green Glaze. The piece is accented on the neck of each side of the planter with small ear shaped handles. This is such a beautiful Roseville Pattern especially with all these colors. The Planter is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no, cracks, chips, nicks, or dings. The piece is unsigned but it still retains part of its original Retail Store label. There is also a number "5" incised by a stilt mark as well as the number "9" written in blue glaze. These are more than likely the finishes marks. There are also remnants of felt located along the bottom edge in 3 areas to help prevent it from scratching the furniture. This is known as shape number 627-6" in The Roseville Pottery Catalog pages. Those of you who collect this pattern and want a nice clean example will surely welcome this one into their collection. This piece shows minor signs of use.
