Cast 1920-30 Art Deco sconces with interesting HEAVY cast French Art Deco angular slip-in shades. Very unusual indeed. The metal finish is pewter and bright polished metal with high/lo accents. Very striking. Electrical: These sconces have been totally re-wired in our UL shop. Normal bakelite sockets for everyday medium base bulbs were installed. The backplate has a rotary switch for on and off. The sconce mounts with one normal sconce mounting all-thread to a normal electrical box from within the case. All mounting hardware will be supplied. Measurements: Overall height is 11 3/4”. Overall widest part is the shade which is 4 5/8” wide. Projects into the room 6 1/8”. The measurements of the backplate are only 11 3/4” tall by 4 1/8” at it’s widest point. A lovely antique five-light cast iron chandelier circa 1930's, from a home in St. Louis. The fixture is in its original polychrome finish and begins with a canopy with leaf and berry details, a motif that continues throughout the piece. The top finial is outlined with volute and foliate motifs and sits atop the chandelier's body, which is a wide disc adorned with five gadrooned boboches. The piece finishes with a charming tassel affixed to an urn-shaped base. This chandelier is in excellent condition. The light fixture has been professionally rewired, and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Lovely set of circa 1920 wall sconces. Original antique sconces with original two color glass antique shades. These sconces have a lovely Art Deco pewter look and a great design that is so typical of the Streamline deco style. The original antique shades are also so very nice. They are a custard color in the middle, topped with a see-through darker rim with etched design. The metal of the backplates is cast metal with a lovely pewter finish. Ready to go...nothing needs to be done except add the light bulbs of your choice. These sconces have been completely rewired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the rotary switches, made by Leviton in the 20’s...and were still being made up to ONE year ago. So these switches, by Leviton, are becoming even more antique as we note this. Measurements: The overall sconce height is 9 3/8”. The maximum width (including the shade) is 6”. It will project into the room from the wall 7 1/4”. The backplate, by itself, measures: 7 1/4” tall by 4 1/2” wide. Price for the pair: $350.00 plus $20.00 for careful packing and Ground shipping within the contiguous 48 states. Very impressive nickel plated sconces, circa 1930+. We completely rewired these sconces and they just stand out as a complete Art Deco statement with their stepped backplate (also matched on the finial) and the stepped pattern on the frosted shades. We apologize for any discoloring of the shades in the pictures due to the camera misinterpreting the light. The shades are matched frosted shades. They are not grey or any other strange colors. Simple and frosted. Not much more to say about these other than to give you the measurements. They make a statement all by themselves. Measurements: Overall height is 8 3/8”. The shade has a diameter of 4 3/8”. It projects into a room a mere 5 1/4”. The backplate measures: 3 1/2” wide by 7” in height. All mounting hardware will be supplied with these sconces. These sconces do not come with a switch, but one could be added for a slightly increased cost. Vintage evening purse, silver mesh with crystals along the top frame and clasp. Silver metal snake chain handle. Cream silk lining. Bag measures 14 cm high by 21 cm wide (5.1/2 inches by 8.1/4 inches). The lining has some stains, and needs a stitch or two of the lining to the frame, but quite usable as is. Circa 1960s. A handsome antique semi-flush mount industrial holophane light fixture, dating from the 1930's, with original fitters. This light features an unusual two-part prismatic shade connected by decorative clips. The lower diffuser is removable to facilitate changing the bulb and has the word "aisle" imprinted into it. This holophane semi-flush mount fixture is in good condition, with a few minor chips in the glass (pictured). Beautiful antique Neoclassical pendant lights with original milk glass shades, c. 1910. These chandeliers came from a home in St. Louis and they retain their original, nicely aged silver plated finish. This fixture begins with a silver plated canopy that comes down in a chain to a magnificent tassel finial. The milk glass shade features stylized columns topped with ionic capitals that are connected with sweeping wreaths. The motif encircles the entirety of the pendant and sits atop a band of gadrooned detailing. Featured at the bottom of the fixture is a delicate tassel finial, which emulates the top of the pendant. The pendant light is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected flea bites around the rim. This light fixture has been professionally rewired and it comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
