Gold bangle, 9ct yellow gold, hallmarked for Birmingham, England - maker's mark is B & S. The hallmark itself is for 1926. Bangle measures 7 mm wide with an internal diameter of 70 mm (1/4 inch and 2.3/4 inches). Weight is 13.83 grams. 9ct gold 4 bar gate link bracelet with engraved bars and heart padlock clasp. The links are all marked 9ct, and also the clasp. Total weight is 15.10 grams. The padlock clasp may be a little more rose gold than the bracelet. Length of bracelet is 19.5 cm (7.1/2 inches) with a little bit extra for the clasp. It is 1.2 cm wide (1/2 inch). Beautiful set of the works of Robert Louis Stevenson, including volumes of Letters and other items. Famous for his novels, which include The Black Arrow, Kidnapped and Treasure Island. These hardcover books were published by William Heinemann Ltd. The books have purple covers, with gold leaf decoration of palm trees on the spine Books are each 17 cm by 11.5 cm and approx. 1.8 to 2 cm thick. Spines have faded to a paler mauve colour, and there is a little overall yellowing (as expected) to the pages. Overall, excellent condition.   « Less

A wonderful pair of antique cast iron Gothic Revival single-arm sconces, featuring trefoil detail and a faux-hammered surface. Dating from the 1920’s, these sconces feature an arched backplate with sloping sides. The top of each sconce is accented with a decorative hook, and the bottom corners feature trefoil detail. The base is finished in a ring with a double twist. The arm extends from the lower part of the sconce to support an understated, faux-hammered bobeche with a round button at its base. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with working turn switches; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 12-3/8” tall, 4-5/8” wide, and project 4-1/4” from the wall. NSP756-RW   « Less

A fascinating antique double-arm figural sconce with a cottage design, made by Alfred W. Reiser of Toledo, Ohio, in the 1920’s. The sconce features a square backplate ornamented with a red house surrounded by green trees, with scrollwork and leaves at the top and bottom of the sconce. The polychrome sconce arms support cutout bobeches and are connected by an open scroll design. This wall lamp is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switch for nostalgia's sake; however, we will gladly replace it with a new one if desired. The sconce measures 10-1/4" wide, 11" tall, and projects 5" from the wall. A matching single-arm sconce is also available, item NSP758-RW. NSP757-RW   « Less
