An antique 34” exterior oak door with egg-and-dart detailing and blue paint, circa 1905. Salvaged from St. Louis, the door features a large panel of beveled glass surrounded by an egg-and-dart border, with a matching border surrounding the panel below. The reverse features a beveled border around both the window and the lower panel. The door has various scratches, chips, and dings typical of an old door, as pictured. A remarkable antique 40” oak entrance door with an arched top, salvaged from Vanderbilt University here in Nashville. Dating from the 1930’s, the door features a segmented arch and the original handle. The exterior of the door has three vertical panels; the interior side has three rows of three panels. The door has various scratches, chips, and dings typical of an old door, as pictured. This exterior door measures 39-3/8” wide, 81-3/4” tall, and 2-1/4” thick. NED170-RW   « Less

Eternity band or stacking ring - this vintage pretty ring covers all bases. 9ct yellow gold (stamped inside the band) it has a row of 5 sapphires and 4 diamonds alternating. Face of ring measures18.5 mm by 5.5 mm (3/4 inch by just under 1/4 inch). Ring size is English L (USA size 5.1/2) with an internal diameter of 16.10. Excellent condition. Sterling silver Edwardian ring stand, lyre shape on a circular base. Base covered in dark mauve velvet, although now mostly all nap has worn off. This would have been used as a pin cushion for hat pins, and the silver top has a circle in which the pins would have been placed to keep them upright. The rings would have hung on the "horns" of the lyre. Hallmarks on the base are for makers Adie Lovekin, Birmingham, 1909. Item measures 7.5 cm high (3 inches). Base is 4.25 cm diameter (1.3/4 inches). Very good original condition.   « Less

A striking antique six-light Art Deco chandelier in its original silver plate over brass, dating from the 1930’s, with its original flashed glass panels. The chandelier begins with an Art Deco canopy ornamented with a zigzag border, coming down in a chain to a geometric loop finial. Five white flashed glass panels surround a light in the center of the chandelier. Piece of black glass extend between the flashed glass panels, crossed with silver lightning bolts. The chandelier arms are ornamented with volute detail, and each holds a black downward-facing bobeche with a ziggurat border and a pointed black finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, the expected fleabites around the edges. The chandelier body measures 19-1/2” wide and 19-1/4” tall, and the fixture is 34-1/2” long overall (all measurements approximate). NC1414-RW   « Less

English Georgian period mahogany sideboard with cellarette drawers and tapering legs with spade ends. Sheraton, dating from around 1790. Measures 86.5 cm high by 129.5 cm wide by 57 cm deep (34 inches by 51 inches by 22.1/2 inches). Nice compact size. The two side cellarette drawers have remains of the zinc paper lining, both have drainage holes in bottom. Pine lining to centre drawer. There is satin wood stringing around drawers and centre arch pieces, although there are some areas of this missing. Top has some veneer splits (caused by central heating), and there has been some old restoration to a corner edge of a drawer (see photo) and two other small old veneer restorations at the sides. The centre drawer shows signs of having had a centre drawer-pull at some stage. Handles have been replaced, but quite some time ago. Apart from the centre drawer, there is no sign of any other old attachment holes for these showing on the exterior. Normal splits and small veneer lifts, but this is a genuine, honest, good, serviceable sideboard, with a lovely patina built up over years of polishing. Possibly a country piece. Domestic NZ market for collection only, or arrange your own shipping for overseas.   « Less

This is a salesman's sample, which would have been carried around to show customers what they could order, as carrying full size plates would be prohibitive. Two matching pairs of unusual antique double-arm sconces with their original mica shades, circa 1910. Found in St. Louis, each sconce features an elegant backplate with sinuous flowers and leaves. Two smooth black sconce arms extend from an arm receiver bowl, each supporting a swirled foliate bobeche. The semicircular shade is composed of three circles of mica, overlaid with spirals of foliate and floral detail. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
