Antique crescent moon and heart brooch / pin made of turquoise and diamonds set in 18 carat gold. Most likely English. Dates to the Victorian - Edwardian period. Measures 2 1/8 inches long. Gold crescent slither of a moon with tiny raised jewels in gold at either end. Set with gradated cabochon turquoise gems. A heart, entirely made of diamonds is ''looped'' around the moon. Clearly a marvellous romantic gift in a chivalrous age. The back has engraved hallmark 18CT. The piece is entirely original with no damage or restoration. Great condition. Gold & pearl tie pin ''Fleur'' by Paul Briancon, who was the foreman who directed the jewelry workshop of Rene Lalique for 20 years from about 1885. Paul Briancon tie pin ''Fleur'' weighs approx 1.2g and is 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 inch long. Formed in a flower shape with a pearl set in it''s center. We found no signature, but this is guarranteed to be the work of Paul Briancon, who was Rene Lalique''s forman for about 20 years. The item was part of an auction in Paris, in December 2006, which included a number of his pieces. (Catalogue number can be provided). There is one tiny kink in the long part of the pin, which may be a restoration, but otherwise condition is good. Vintage pearl, gold and garnet bracelet in mint condition. Made in Italy by Lucien Piccard, circa mid 20th century. Bracelet measures a little under 7 1/2 inches long when extended. Width is 7/8 inch. Alternating double rows of 4 pearls each (8 total) seperated by a band of textured told, shaped like a stretched fabric, with a swatch of garnets swooping accross the gold, diagonally. Pearls have a wonderful lustre. Garnets are fiery, which contrasts well with the soft patina of the gold. The clasp is very solid with a fine texture that seems to capture and hold the light. The inside of the clasp is engraved 14K under the name LUCIEN PICCARD. Condition is as close to mint as possible. Center has a round, cushion-like (not quite cabochon) fiery opal that catches and plays with the light beautifully. It is surrounded by a ring of white saphires - also great play of light. The earrings are set in a wonderful old gold (unmarked, as is most Victorian jewelry) mounts. Beautiful openwork backs and the little dials to screw the earring closed are in the form of a flower. Victorian gold and amethyst earrings in exceptional design. Made 19th century, origin unknown. Measure approx 1 5/8inch from end to end. Overlapping elongated leaves rise up on the ear-lobe. A round amethyst bead in gold mount dangles from the bottom at a level below the ear lobe. Look stunning when worn. The earrings do not have hallmarks, but are guarranteed to be gold. The clips on the back are later additions, but the rest of the earrings are original to the Victorian period. Good condition.
