Sweet pair of antique single-arm iron sconces in their original polychrome finish, featuring pink and green floral accents. Marked with patent date and signature “M.L.P", the sconces were made in 1927 by Markel Lighting Products of Buffalo, NY. These cream-colored wall lamps are crowned by a volute and foliate top finial; below, the backplate has a seeded texture with florets, leaves, and a full flower centerpiece. Extending from the back plate, the sconce arm supports a beaded and gadrooned bobeche. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 4-5/8" wide, 9-3/8" tall, and project 4-1/2” from the wall. Coordinating sconces are available under items NSP749-RW, NSP750-RW, and NSP754-RW. Delightful antique boxed newel post in oak with white paint and flowers, dating from the 1880s. Salvaged out of St. Louis, this box newel features carved rosettes around the top portion. Below, each side has a recessed panel with raised foliage and fern details. The newel is in very good antique condition with minor wear and chips as shown. Stunning antique three arm Neoclassical chandelier with prisms, in brass with silver plate accents. This early 1900s chandelier begins with a simple canopy and chain that leads to an elegant decorative loop finial. A leafy crown tops the disc-shaped body; below, three silver plated foliate arms extend out to support bobeches with beaded trim. Sparkling icicle prisms hang from each chandelier arm and the fixture finishes in a draped finial. This two-toned chandelier is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation.
