This exterior door features roundels at the corners, and a four-panel carved geometric design at the bottom, with white crackled paint throughout. Pair of very impressive French, 5-light, large outstanding sconces, Circa 1910-20+.
These impressive wall statements are 40" tall. They are also 17 1/2" wide (shade tip to shade tip) and will project into the room 10" to 13" depending on which shade you measure.
Each sconce weighs in at about 30 pounds.
We completely re-wired these french sconces and removed the french sockets to convert them to our American bulbs and current.
The mounting of these sconces is more unique than normal. That shield medallion, on the backplate between the four arms, hides the main mounting device. The medallion itself is held onto the backplate by one slotted ball-screw just visible in the picture. Behind the medallion, the mounting device uses a large bore 3/8 nps all-thread to a heavy duty specially made crossbar which we will supply. A completely sophisticated mounting and finish for a great pair of french sconces.
We think it is an excellent choice for an area needing a significant pair of sconces.
This fixture comes complete with our neat little candle style 35C-E26 LED bulb. This little 2 watt bulb produces almost as much light as a 25 watt incandescent bulb but only nibbles at the electricity. AND....it lasts 30,000 hours. We naturally carry replacements if an accident, or a matching option, deems necessary at some time in the future.
$2,250 for the complete pair with shades and LED bulbs plus shipping. « Less

Lovely pair of double Circa 1920 wall sconces. They are signed, cast into the metal, "Brandt Mfg Co., Patent applied for". Who wouldn't like to consider that these had something to do with a member of the Edward Brandt family who are famous for doing the iron work at the Paris 1925 expo in Paris? Just a thought.
These sconces have a nice Edwardian ambiance having a pewter look with a heavy cast and embellished backplate design that is so typical of the Edwardian design style.
The shades are simple opal and match the straight line ambiance of the fixtures quite well. They are in excellent condition.
The metal, of the backplates, is cast iron with a lovely pewter finish. Ready to go...nothing needs to be done except add the light bulbs of your choice. These sconces have been completely re-wired with true bakelite sockets and all new wire.
Measurements: Each overall sconce height is 11". The maximum width is 10" (outside edge of the shade to shade). It will project into the room, from the wall a mere 4".
Price: $375.00 for the pair plus shipping. « Less

This fantastic chandelier cost a whopping Forty Dollars in the 1930s when the depression was in full swing. This fact comes from the Williamson catalog that we have, which also tells us that this chandelier was part of an exclusive line designed by Williamson that they dubbed ....The Series Thirty Line. This 5 light model was THE top of the line exclusive model in that line. There was no 6 light model made. Other lights in this same line cost as much as 2/3rds less. Interesting.
Okay...that is some history...now about this light itself. This light was painstakingly re-wired in the exact same manner as Williamson created it, and hence, it is really a fine job. It is now current UL standard and ready to install. This fine light has the original cast-in Williamson signature behind each shade. Williamson was later bought out by Beardslee who changed this signature even in the 1930s to their own name, so this is one of the earlier ones.
While the body is cast iron, it is painted so nicely with contrasting Art Deco poly-chrome colors that it gives the impression that this light simply does crown a room for atmosphere and style. Naturally, after 80 odd years, the finish is not new and does show it's age here and there....but....the colors are in outstanding in condition after all this time.
Measurements: The light measures 28 inches in height while having a diameter of 17 1/2". The shades are in great condition. They are substantial shades with some thicknesses approaching 1/4" thick. The pictures speak well of the light and if you have been looking for a very special light, this might just be it.

Art Deco French 7 Light Chandelier with Original Heavy Sculpture Shades.
This has been completely re-wired to UL standards in our lamp shop. Those funky old french sockets were changed to American sockets for our standard bulbs. Unlike American fixtures, this chandelier has a center shade and SIX globes on the outside. All matching and examples of the best french making glassware we have seen. Nicer still is the fact that the shades decor actually matches to metal decor so you know that it has been all original from day-one, which we are attribute to Circa 1920-30.
Measurements: Overall height is 38" tall. Can be made longer by adding chain links but cannot get any shorter...it is only using one chain link now. The diameter is 27" from shade tip to shade tip.
Comes complete with the original shades and ready to hang.
