A fabulous antique white porcelain industrial sconce with a glass shade, recently salvaged from a 1930’s mental hospital here in Nashville. Made by Parker & Seymour of Syracuse, New York, and signed “P. & S. Alabax,” this sconce features a round porcelain backplate, with an Art Deco glass shade at the top and a working electrical outlet below. It would be fabulous for use over a bathroom mirror. This wall lamp is in very good antique condition with a hairline crack in the back as pictured; the sconce has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconce measures 5-3/8” wide, approx. 6” tall, and has a projection of 8-1/4”. These sconces have beautiful decorative details of garlands, foliage, fluting, and a fleur-de-lis crowning the top. The scrolling sconce arm reaches up to support a bobeche with gadrooning and a bead and reel border. From each bobeche hangs a circle of sparkling prisms. The sconce arm extends straight out and two interlocking rings below support a gadrooned shade holder. On the shade holder is the fixture's original working switch. The glass shades below are hand-cut and feature a gorgeous floral and foliate design. Stunning antique four light two-tiered chandelier, made by Beardslee Chandelier Manufacturing Company, patented in 1922. This flush-mount fixture features a silver canopy with decorative indentations creating a simple border around the underside of the rim. The chandelier moves down into two tiers of sparkling crystal prisms, and finishes off in a faceted crystal ball.
