Unusual antique bronze door hardware sets, circa 1900. The doorplates feature a stylized bouquet of flowers at the top and bottom, with faux rivets bordering the plate. The doorknobs feature an elegant fourfold design with flowers and leaves surrounding a raised button in the center. These sets are overall in very good to excellent condition; a couple of the knobs have some wear around the set screw opening as shown. Each set includes a pair of plates and a pair of knobs with the connecting spindle and set screws (enough hardware for one door). A charming antique copper exterior lantern, dating from the 1930’s, with verdigris. The lantern begins with a simple canopy connected to the body by a pair of overlapped rings. Below, the lantern features a stepped roof and a clear glass cylinder. The bottom band of the lantern is connected to the top by copper rods. This flush mount light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the edges. This lantern is 9-1/2” tall and 5-3/4” wide. A charming pair of antique copper exterior lanterns, dating from the 1930’s, with verdigris. Each sconce begins with a round backplate with a curved arm, connecting to a stepped roof with a clear glass cylinder below. The bottom band of the lantern is connected to the top by copper rods. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. A magnificent 40-inch reclaimed antique oak door with a gorgeous leaded and beveled glass window, circa 1915. The trim surrounding the window forms an elegant ogee arch at the top; the shape repeats in the glass at the bottom of the shield. The window features a beveled shield in the center, crowned with a fleur-de-lis and flanked by beveled geometric shapes. This salvaged door measures approx. 40” wide, approx. 89” tall, and 2” thick (not including surface trim). The door has been professionally stripped and is ready for your choice of finish. Four matching antique brass double-arm brass sconces, dating from the 19th Century, with glass shades. The sconces are signed on the side of the backplates. Each sconce features a gadrooned backplate and urn-shaped finials, with two arms that have been fitted with Sheffield style shades. This item has been SOLD. A fine Imperial German Naval Officers sword with damascus blade by the famous Solingen firm of Carl Eikhorn. The traditional hilt bears the fouled anchor of the Imperial Navy as well as a custom, folding guard which locks the sword into the scabbard. The folding guard bears the name of the Naval Officer for whom the sword was made, Beggeman. The hilt is either of ivory or faux ivory and bears two small chips above the lower foliated brass band. The wire wrap is complete and in excellent condition. The gold gilt brass hilt and pommel are worked in the traditional acorn pattern foliage. The Lions head pommel bears the red and green eyes which denote port and starboard. The damascus blade has a prominent and active pattern with one small area of light pitting, as shown. The ricasso is stamped with a variant of the Eickhorn trademark of conjoined squirrels without the CE. The brass mounted, black leather scabbard is a little dry and has a crease from having been folded but is not broken, as shown. One retaining staple is missing in the center brass band, as shown. The original red felt washer remains in place. A handsome and well crafted Imperial sword. Overall 35.5", blade 30.25".   « Less
