Centennial Tiger Maple Highboy from Katharine Hepburn's estate. Measures 37.5 inches wide at case, 18.25 inches deep, 36 inches wide at top, 84 inches high to the top of its finial, 79 inches to the top of its arch. Original condition with a small drawer lip repair. Made from solid strong grained tiger maple and chestnut backboards. This piece was acquired from the heirs to Kathern Hepburns' estate and we can provide a certificate of authenticity to the buyer. Two matching antique two-light Neoclassical chandeliers in their original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. Each chandelier begins with a scalloped polychrome canopy, coming down in a chain to a large loop ornamented with volutes and acanthus leaves with delicate pastel colors. Two chandelier arms curve downward from the finial, each holding a cutout bobeche with a leaf-and-dart border and a foliate finial. A hammered, cut-out section connects the two bobeches below, and a smooth teardrop prism hangs from the center. These light fixtures are in very good antique condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. A very heavy, well-made antique Neoclassical flush-mount light fixture in pewter with its original finish, dating from the 1920s. The outer edge of the chandelier features a finely cast leaf-and-dart border, with an incredibly detailed band of shells, acanthus, and grapevines with red and green polychrome accents. Four downward-facing bobeches, with leaves and ribbons against a red background, hang from the perimeter of the chandelier. The chandelier features a bead-and-reel border around the gadrooned center, ornamented with leaves and holding the fifth bobeche. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Two matching antique Art Deco skyscraper pendant lights, dating from the 1930’s. Each chandelier features a fantastic skyscraper shade that has turned a pinkish lavender due to sun exposure (sometimes called “sun purple” glass), with a simple fitter and canopy. These light fixtures are in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandeliers have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This set features squared backplates with a raised double border, and doorknobs with a simple design of concentric circles. This door hardware set is in excellent condition. Each doorknob is 2 1/4” in diameter and 1 7/8” deep; the door plates are 2 3/8” wide by 7 1/4” tall. The set includes two doorknobs with the connecting spindle and set screws, and a pair of doorplates. This hardware can be used with either one of our modern latch sets or an antique mortise lock. Antique Art Deco doorknob sets with matching plates, dating from the 1920’s or 1930’s. The doorknobs feature an understated grooved design, and the plates feature a fabulous Art Deco ziggurat shape. Each set includes a pair of plates and a pair of knobs with the connecting spindle and set screws (enough hardware for one door). Each tile has a unique scrolling foliage design featuring Oak leaves, with a geometric border running along the top and bottom of each tile. The tile is a gorgeous deep green, with light pink accents throughout. This salvaged tile, originally used either in around a fireplace or in a vestibule, is in good antique condition with the usual minor scratches and chips that you see on antique tile.
