A beautiful early blown glass decanter in a turqoise or aqua color. Late 1800's to early 1900's, no maker marks. The height is 8 1/4" without the stopper in. The condition is good, no chips or cracks, though the end of the stopper has minor damage. Nice early bubbles in the glass throughout and pontil mark on the base. An amazing display piece and still quite usable. Not sure on the country of origin on this one.

For sale is this Bradley and Hubbard brass double inkwell. Marked on the bottom with B&H. Bradley and Hubbard formed in CT in 1852 and officially became known as Bradley & Hubbard in 1854 and stayed in business until 1940 when it was sold to the Parker Co. This inkwell stands about 4 3/4" to the top of the antlers and is 9" in length at the feet. A fine depiction of a stag leaping over a fence being chased by hounds. Structurally in very good condition, but it has rusting and is in need of a good polish or refinish. Not sure the glass is original and no lids for the glass. We are pricing this moderately in consideration of the rusting. « Less

Some of those makers were employees at Pal-Bell and after a few years of 'learning the business' they opened their own workshop. Oppenheim was already known prior to the1950s and made items marked: "Hand Made in Palestine". Later they bought Pal-Bell from Moshe Klein and continued some product lines using Pal-Bell's moulds and their new logo.During the transition period, we may see items marked with both logos and some have no marking at all, but the items were made by using the original Pal-Bell moulds. There are many original items made by Pal-Bell, not marked or not listed in the catalogues. « Less
