A wonderful large antique brass flush mount light with an industrial look, dating from the early 1900's, with a white glass bowl-shaped shade. This ceiling-mount light fixture is in excellent condition with just the expected fleabites around the rim of the shade; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The light fixture measures 18 ¾" wide and approx. 10" long. A matching light with a slightly different finish is also available, item # NC1004.

A gorgeous antique brass three-light chandelier, dating from the early 1900’s, with its original iridescent etched glass shades. The chandelier begins with a volute and acanthus loop finial, atop the brass chandelier body. Beautifully detailed chandelier arms support shade holders with a decorative border. Each shade holder has a bell-shaped acid-etched glass shade with a hint of iridescence. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The shades are in good antique condition with the expected fleabites around the rim and a chip from the lower edge of one shade (pictured). The chandelier body measures 17†wide and 16†tall (body only), and the fixture is 32†long overall.

Oil painting on canvas portrait of a young man with a mustache, wearing a stiff collar and red bow tie, circa 1900, by either Fannie (1858-1931) or Jennie (1872-1961) Burr. Fannie and her younger sister, Jennie, both artists, were born into Monroe, CT's most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were very close. They began drawing when children. Each attended and graduated from Mt Holyoke College and the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, Fannie studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days. List in Who Was Who in American Art by Peter Falk. Exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art New Britain CT. Catalogue of work produced by The Connecticut Gallery Inc. This painting was acquired directly from an heir to the estate. Image is 12.5" x 15.5"; frame is 15.75" x 18.75". One of a pair. Signed Burr on back. Painted in 1898.

A beautiful antique five-light chandelier with prisms, dating from the 1930’s, in its original silver plate. The chandelier begins with a simple silver plated loop atop a trumpet-shaped glass piece; below, five sleek, silver plated chandelier arms extend from the chandelier body, each supporting an elegant glass bobeche. Each bobeche is hung with a smooth clear teardrop prism, and the arms are connected by a garland of round beads. A long teardrop prism hangs from the center of the chandelier. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 20†wide and 19†tall (body only), and the fixture is 29 ½†long overall.

Two matching antique American leaded glass windows, circa 1915, with wheel-cut stars. Each window features a variety of beautifully textured clear glass, including granite glass, a geometric glass, and ribbed glass. The middle of each window features a hand-cut starburst, with a beveled diamond shape at the top and bottom of each window. These leaded windows were originally designed as sidelights and could be used in a variety of applications. They are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. Each window is 14 3/8†by 66 ¼†overall, with a frame 1 3/8†thick. The glass itself measures 10†by 60â€. THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR EACH WINDOW; THERE ARE TWO AVAILABLE.

A fabulous pair of antique single-arm sconces, circa 1920’s, in their original polychrome finish with red and green accents. Each sconce features an elongated backplate ornamented with red and green leaves; the sconce arm is accented with a matching leaf and supports a foliate bobeche with polychrome highlights. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 11 ½†tall, 4 ¼†wide, and project 5†from the wall.
