A lovely antique Neoclassical flush-mount light fixture with a glass shade, dating between 1910 and 1920. The light features a fluted fitter with a beautifully shaped edge; below, the four-sided shade is ornamented with laurel wreaths and ribbons, with a foliate border running down each edge. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the rim. Splendid set of three matching antique signed E. F. Caldwell sconces, circa 1905-1910. These double-arm sconces feature a long, fluted backplate crowned with an urn and ending at the bottom in a foliate finial. The sconce arms begin with leaves and berries on the backplate, coming up a stately hexagonal wax pan and candle cup. These wall lamps are in excellent condition and have been professionally rewired. A beautiful antique five-light chandelier in its original silver plate, dating from the 1930’s. The chandelier begins with a cascade of round glass beads, alternating with long, hand-blown prisms. A silver baluster runs down the center of the chandelier, ending in sleek, U-curved arms with glass bobeches, which are hung with sparkling icicle prisms. The chandelier finishes in a strand of beads with a smooth glass ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. An elegant antique Art Nouveau entrance doorknob set, made by Reading Hardware Co. in the “Eulalia” design featured in their 1897 catalog (the pattern was later renamed “Americus”). Unlike any other set we’ve seen, this entry doorknob set features an extra-wide double border around the edge of each knob. Made of bronze, the knobs feature a recessed center ornamented with Art Nouveau leaf detail, surrounded by a wide, raised border. This set includes two door knobs with their connecting spindle and set screws. The door hardware is in very good antique condition. The larger doorknob is 2 ½” in diameter and 2 ¼” deep; the smaller knob is 2 ¼” by 2 ¼”. NDK48-RW   « Less

A gorgeous antique bronze Art Nouveau door hardware set, with knobs and plates, in Russell & Erwin’s “De Bercy” pattern, signed and patent dated April 12, 1890. These R&E doorknobs feature a flowing, asymmetrical design of vines and flowers with an egg-and-dart border. The backplates feature a beautifully detailed design of leaves and volutes. The set includes the doorknobs with the connecting rod and set screws, and a pair of doorplates. This door hardware set is in very good antique condition; there is a scratch on one knob that is barely noticeable. A superb antique Art Deco slip shade chandelier, dating from the 1930’s. This five-light chandelier begins with a beautifully detailed canopy, coming down in a chain to a volute finial with foliate detail below. The slipper shades feature floral detail and a scalloped border; the chandelier body frames the shades with a torsade border, which also extends across each shade. The rest of the chandelier body is ornamented with flowers, ending in a dangling fleur-de-lis finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is in very good antique condition with some fleabites around the edges of the shades (pictured). This chandelier is 19” wide, 17” tall (body only), and 33 ½” long overall. A delightful pair of antique single-arm sconces, dating from the 1920’s, in their original polychrome finish with green accents. The sconces feature a cast iron backplate ornamented with a wreath of roses. A black wrought iron arm, fastened to the backplate with a floret button, supports a brass foliate bobeche. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. A beautiful antique cast iron door hardware set, dating between the 1890’s and 1910 and retaining some of its original bronze finish. Made and signed by Branford Lock Works, these doorknobs feature an incredibly detailed design with scrolling leaves in the center, surrounded by a swirled background and a rope border. The plates are ornamented with an elegant leaf design at the top and bottom, with rope running down each side of the plate. The background features a repetition all-over scroll background found on the knobs. The set includes the doorknobs with the connecting rod and set screws, and a pair of doorplates. A stunning pair of antique cast iron 4x4” hinges with ball finials, c. 1880’s, in a hard-to-find original bronze and black enamel finish. Each leaf of the hinges features a semicircle with a beaded border, surrounded by stylized flowers and geometric detail. The back of the hinge is also ornamented with a floral motif.
