Antique Czech garnet and Aragonite / Vridlovec gemstone brooch. Made in Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic), 19th century. Rectangular with rounded corners. Measures approx 1 1/2 inches long X slightly under 1 1/4 inches wide. Vridlovec, used in jewellery especially to be bought at Europe''s health spas of the 19th century with beautiful varied markings. The cushion cut rectangle is surrounded by a ring of old garnets that offset the central stone beautifully. Set in tomback (gold coloured metal used in Czech jewellery). High quality workmanship. Vintage pair of 14 carat gold earrings with semi-circular hoops, hearts and stars. Made in Italy. Slightly over 1 1/2 inches long. Weigh approx 8 grams. Wonderful design for pierced ears: A star stud sits on the ear-lobe. It suspends a short chain from which hangs an inverted semicircular hoop, which in turns supports a chain with stars surrounding a heart. Great movement and swing. Look stunning. Art Deco bar pin brooch - natural sapphire and diamonds set in platinum with gold pin. Circa 1920 - 30''s. Measures 1 inch accross. Weighs approx 2 grams. Bar comprised of diamond, 4 sapphires, diamond, 4 sapphires and another diamond. Wonderful colour, excecptionally well set and matched. The platinum setting has a very fine scrolling pattern, again showing the quality of the piece. Pin at the back is in yellow gold. No marks seen. Good condition. Antique Victorian Neo Classical / Etruscan Revival earrings. 19th century. Measure approx 3/4 inch in diameter. Weigh approx 7grams. Round earrings with tiny patterned borders. A ring of black enamel and gold with concave circles, each with a little raised flower. Two wavy, raised wall enclose a ring of seed pearls and inside that is a circle enclosing a raised badge with black enamel. It would be possible to engrave initials on the raised badge, but it has been left empty. Finest quality workmanship and minute detail. There are no hallmarks on the earrings, but I tested them and they test for at least 18carat gold. The loops with little globes from which they hang are possibly later as they are only 14carat (although the Victorians were known to mix different calibres of gold). Very good condition - no damage and enamel is in excellent shape with no wear. Rectangular ring with rounded corners. A border of small seed pearls with 4 round emeralds - one at each corner. Within that is a band with pairs of inverted scrolls, gilt washed, and that encloses a rectangle with an emerald in the center. Top of ring is gilt washed. The shoulders are engraved with a foliate design. 2 hallmarks on the inside of the band. Good condition. Exceptional antique Victorian 18 carat gold bracelet in the form of a snake coiling around a cabochon garnet and mourning locket of hair, in it''s original, fitted box. Made in England approx 1840 - 1880. Weighs approx 23 g. Bracelet alone (excluding the locket) is 7 inches long. Bracelet consists of two parts: 1. a wavy, coiled series of gold links, fitting together, but allowing complete movement. At either end is a blue-bell flower shaped cap, finely engraved that swivels on a post attached to a sturdy loop. The loops from the two sides enclose the loop of the 2. locket part of the bracelet. On one side of the locket is a glassed-in compartment containing a lock of hair. The other side has a cabochon garnet within the finely engraved, rounded gold sides and all of this is encircled by a coiling snake. The detail and workmanship are superb and of the highest quality. Original fitted leather box, rounded, triangular shape with silk lining in lid and blue velvet on the bottom. The silk top has gold embossed: Certificated Watch & Clock Makers. HUDDY BROS.
