Distinctive antique cast bronze “Broken Leaf” door hardware set by Lockwood Manufacturing Company. Patented in 1886, this sought-after door hardware features an unusual asymmetrical design of a vase of flowers, surrounded by foliage with bent stems. This set includes two decorative doorplates and a matching doorknob set with connecting spindle and set screws. The doorknobs feature a fourfold design with leaves and volutes forming a square shape in the middle; the door plates have a pointed leaf and scroll design at both the top and bottom. The door knobs measure 2-1/4” in diameter and 2-1/4” deep; the plates are 7-3/4” by 2-3/4”. Each set includes a pair of doorknobs with the connecting spindle and set screws, and a pair of doorplates (enough hardware for one door).
