The Samson firm, in many instances, attempted to distinguish their reproductions from originals. The Samson wares were produced in hard-paste porcelain, while many of the originals would have been produced from soft-paste porcelain.
What a great work of 19th Century Samson — Chelsea “Lowestoft footed Bowlâ€, stands at 3.25 inches tall and 8.50 inches diameter and marked “Made in France†in gold, with the faux -Chinese Characters on base in good condition.

What a great find, a French porcelain inkstand by the famous Paris firm of Samson & Company.Rare and outstanding example of the Lowestoft Pattern with hand decorated enamel pattern often called “Chinese Lowestoft†and heavy gold trim.
Marked on bottom as shown with typical pseudo-oriental style painted symbol and a gold crown. This is from the period 1859—1870 or earlier. This lovely Desk item measures about 6.75 inches long by 5 inches wide, front to back and height is about 2 inches to top of inkwell lid.
This was found in very good, condition with some wear to gold trim and enamel from normal use.

What a great find, a French porcelain ink stand by the famous Paris firm of Samson & Company.
Rare and outstanding example of the Lowestoft Pattern with hand decorated enamel pattern often called “Chinese Lowestoft†and heavy gold trim.
Marked on bottom as shown with typical pseudo-oriental style painted symbol and a gold crown. This is from the period 1859—1870 or earlier. This lovely Desk item measures about 4.25 inches diameter with the insert (no lid) and height is about 1.50 inches to top of inkwell.

There is a sign of Honest wear to the oxidation to the metal work otherwise in good condition.
