These are 21 matching antique cast iron door plates, circa 1900. These plates feature a border of alternating anthemia and berries on a textured background, with volute detail at the top and bottom of each plate. This door hardware is in excellent condition with a nice patina and some minor white paint splatters. The top bead on one of the doorplates has been cut off (pictured), possibly to allow it to fit underneath decorative detail on a door; the other twenty plates are unmodified. Superlative hardware for your excellent house!
Imagine these cool door knobs and face plates on your doors, IMPRESSIVE!!!
Thirteen brass faceplates are 12" tall and 3" wide. Fourteen, heavy, egg shaped, brass door knobs are 3" tall and 2 1/4" deep.
Door knobs are monogrammed with the initials "B.C." or "C.B." Some knobs have their stems, some have half a stem, one is bent, please examine pictures! Knobs with stems have an unusual brass pin, knobs pictured without stems do not have set screws.
Also included are two locks. Faceplates on locks are slightly bent, please see pictures. These are salavged from an old Hanover county mansion, torn down long ago. « Less
