This is a graceful pair of antique double-arm sconces, circa 1910, in their original silver plate over brass. Each sconce features a sleek oval backplate with a silver plated arm receiver bowl in the center. Two sleek, S-curved arms extend from the arm receiver bowl, ending in elegant bell-shaped silver bobeches. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each sconce measures 9 ¾” wide, 8 ½” tall, and has a projection of 5 ¾”. The simplicity of these sconces would make them a handsome addition to any décor from traditional to modern. This is a splendid antique six-light Art Deco chandelier in its original nickel over brass. Dating from the 1930’s, the chandelier begins with a loop finial ornamented with zigzags, coming down in waterfall-like pieces ornamented with wings. A circular band with Art Deco detail supports five chandelier arms; each arm is accented with a wing at the base and an elegant bobeche with a baluster finial. Each bobeche is hung with icicle prisms, and the chandelier body finishes in a sparkling border of prisms. The sixth light of the chandelier is inside the prism border, creating a beautiful effect. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. These are two matching antique bronze exterior door hardware sets, in Yale & Towne’s “Meridian” design, circa 1910. This hardware features an elegant Neoclassical scroll design with unusual oval doorknobs; the plates and keyholes are crowned with palmettes. Each set comes with the original split-system lock, large exterior backplate with a double keyhole, rosette and keyhole escutcheon, and pair of oval doorknobs with the connecting rod. These entry door sets are in excellent condition with a lovely patina. The backplates measure 11” by 3”, the roses are 2 1/8” in diameter, and the keyhole covers are 3 1/8” by 1 3/8”. This is a superb pair of antique cast bronze double-arm sconces with verdigris and purple prisms, dating from the early 1900’s. The sconces feature an elegant verdigris bronze backplate with bronze stems supporting glass florets and smooth teardrop prisms, some of which have turned lavender from sun exposure. Vine-like sconce arms are hung with prisms and support bronze wax pans and candle cups, and graceful strands of beads drape from the top of each sconce to the bobeches. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired. The sconces are 11” tall, 9 ¼” wide, and project 4” from the wall. These are four matching antique door hardware sets by Russell & Erwin, with bronze doorknobs and iron door plates with their original bronze wash. The locks are signed and patent dated 1889. The backplates and locks feature R&E’s elegant “Villa” design, with crisp detail and a lovely finish. The bronze door knobs, original to the sets as found in a 19th Century home, are in a different pattern that coordinates beautifully with the doorplates and knobs. The knobs feature a flower in the center, surrounded by an overlapping fan pattern. These sets are in excellent condition and function beautifully. The knobs are 2 ¼” in diameter and 2” deep; the backplates are 5 ½” by 1 3/8”; and the plate on each mortise lock is 5 3/8” long and 15/16” wide. This is a charming antique Tudor hanging lantern, dating from the 1920’s, with its original glass cylinder. The lantern begins with a simple loop finial atop a sloped roof with a crimped border; below, black bands cross a clear glass cylinder. The bottom of the lantern features a crimped lower edge, with clear glass in the bottom of the lantern to allow light to shine downward. The chandelier is in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The fixture has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The lantern body is 5 ½” wide and 9 ½” long; the fixture is 25 ¼” long overall. The set includes the doorknobs with connecting spindle, a pair of plates, and an antique mortise lock. The door knobs feature an elegant three-fold design of volutes and leaves surrounding a raised center; the plates are crowned with a crest surrounded by foliate detail and volutes. These are four matching antique sconces, c. 1910, in their original silver plate over brass. These single-arm sconces feature an elegant oval backplate with volute detail at top and bottom. A smooth, J-shaped arm extends from the center of the backplate, accented with a baluster finial at the top and a sleek bobeche at the lower end. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Three of the sconces have turn switches; one does not. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. This is a marvelous antique cast bronze “Windsor” pocket door set by Reading Hardware, circa 1885. The set includes the ornamented lock and two faceplates, ornamented with the distinctive Windsor design of stylized leaves and bands of circles. The plates and the handles are in their original finish with a darkened background and lighter highlights. The set is in excellent condition and functions beautifully.
