Hello, For sale is this gorgeous secretary bookcase/ desk. The piece is made of burled walnut and is very solid. It is aprox. 130 years old and in amazing condition. The construction of this time is very impressive. The small details such as the "pin and cove" drawer construction really explain the age of this piece. There are many secretary type pieces out there but I have yet to come across one that is nearly as unique and beautiful. I even have the original key to the drawers and cabinets. This is a marvelous antique semi-flush brass chandelier, circa 1920’s, with its original holophane shades. This pan light begins with a simple brass canopy, with a brass body ending in a finial. The chandelier arms are ornamented with a plant in an urn, ending in a volute. Each arm supports a dangling shade holder with a prismatic glass shade. This semi-flush mount light fixture is in excellent condition; the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The light fixture measures 19 ½” wide and 13” long. NC771-RW   « Less

This is a delightful antique cast iron door hardware set by P. & F. Corbin, in the “Piccadilly” design from their 1905 catalog. The set includes the door knobs, plates, and mortise lock. The knob features an elegant six-fold design with a flower in the center, surrounded by a graceful foliate border. The flower motif is repeated on the top of the backplate, which is also ornamented with flowing leaves and vines and shows Art Nouveau influence. The lock is signed by Corbin. This set is in excellent condition with a nice patina and with some white paint on the lock (which will not be visible when installed). Each doorknob is 2 ¼” in diameter and 2” deep; the backplates measure 2” by 7”. The faceplate of the mortise lock is 6 ½” by 1”. NDKS25-RW   « Less

Each pull features a vine design flanked on each side by a fleur-de-lis, and the other side has a pattern of diamonds with stylized fleurs-de-lis. We don't know too much about Heisey, but we know what we like. This unusual, single Heisey candelabra is marked (diamond H), has three arms and a center. We've searched and four light Heisey's seem to be rare. Old Williamsburg style bobeches and arms, but the actual candle holders are different - more stylish. The entire effect is modern and Victorian together. It's terribly good looking! Tall and heavy, stands 21 3/4" tall. Alas, if you love it, you have to love it warts and all. Sometime, long ago, someone didn't have access to a new ferrule and filled in the base with what passed for "Liquid Nails" about 60 years ago. Arms still come out. Slight scratches in this old glass, but nothing repugnant. If you have apathy for Heisey, like we do, all this striking piece needs is some TLC. The shade is bordered in a stylized leaf pattern and features a starburst design on the underside. These are two matching antique pendant lights with unusual globes, made by Macbeth Evans Glass Company. Designer H. H. Blau filed a patent for these “inclosing globe” lights in 1929 (you can see a copy of the patent at http://www.freepatentsonline.com/1778305.pdf), and the shades are signed with the patent number. According to the patent, these pendants were designed to have a similar look to inverted dome chandeliers, but are completely enclosed to keep them clean inside. The fixtures feature a shade with a clear top and a translucent, bowl-shaped lower portion, supported by a sleek shade holder and canopy. These light fixtures are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandeliers have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each pendant measures 16” wide and 16” tall (body only) and 39” long overall.
