This is a wonderful antique three-light brass chandelier, made and signed by R. Williamson & Co. of Chicago. This pan light begins with a volute loop finial atop a sleek brass body. Three arms, formed of acanthus leaves, support smooth shade holders with gorgeous shades ornamented with a lattice design and scalloped edges. The shades are patent dated 1908. A charming acorn finial finishes the chandelier. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the shades are also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 17 ½” wide and 13 ¼” tall, and the fixture is 32” long overall. NC753-RW   « Less

The workmanship is incredible, the background looks like enameling, the sunflowers looks stunning. set of crystal and brass filigree design powder jar, and brush are magnificent. aged, survived decades, and still remarkable to decorate Vanities and Powder room. brush measuring 10" long, 3.5" wide, from the surface 1.5" h, and bristles in tact. the powder jar measures 4.5" in diameter, 2.75" from the surface. Legs decorated in gorgeous grapes and leaves. the interior of the lid has few scratches and ware conditions no chip or crack. the faces are being protected by clear plastic or Lucites over soft gold enamel design either textile or enamel. Searching for a Georgian wine coaster? Here is one of today's highly sought after George III early Regency wine coasters by the well known John Roberts & Co., Sheffield UK 1807. There is a broad curved fluting to the body, an egg and dart border, and a central sterling button in the turned wooden base.The underside has the original padding. It is marked around the rim of the base: John Roberts & Co.,the maker) , the date mark S for 1807, the Standard mark ( the lion passant )tells you the item is silver,and the Duty mark , the head for the current king or queen. Width 5 3/4" Traditionally, the hallmarks are 'struck' using steel punches. The problem with traditional punching is that the process of punching displaces metal, causing some distortion of the article being marked. Also to insert the wooden base that silver had to be worked after the punches had been placed. The re-working usually reduced the clarity of the marks and sometimes removed them. The date mark S has been moved over the town mark, the crown (Sheffield). John Roberts worked in London and Sheffield. At the time of the date mark S ( 1807) he was working in Sheffield.   « Less

This is an exotic sterling silver hand hammered Arts & Crafts water pitcher ,vase form with flat bottom, sides that flare out then taper in at the top to slightly flaring neck with a high arching spout, It has a hollow handle with shield attachment to body and a heavy applied rim. It is marked with the Gorham mark, sterling, A 5183, 5 pint. It is 8 3/4" to the highest point, width 9" from handle to spout. 27 troy oz.tells you it is a heavy pitcher. Dated 1917 under the spout.
