We bought eight of these fantastic, very large, outdoor lights from one estate. They are simply a wow for impressions. Made from a brass/bronze material, they do have a mixed reddish bronze finish and the detail for these old castings, meant for outside, is pretty good with some age considerations. They do vary a bit as all old castings will.
We have totally rewired these and also added a water protection fitter which helps channel rainwater away. We changed the poorly designed mounting options and now they mount with 3 lag bolts that have decorative theft deterrent caps. You can see the 3 caps that go over the lag bolts, on the back plate. There are three of them. These sconces are big and heavy and get bigger and heavier with the shades that are chosen to go with them.
Measurements: The backplate is 21" tall by 9" max wide before shades are added. The light protrudes 15" before shades are added.
ANT-262-FLM is simply for folks who desire an outrageous flame shaded architectural light and have funds budgeted for it. This shade is pretty expensive and the fitter has to be changed from a 6" fitter to an 8" fitter. But the results are rather superb.
The shade, by itself, is 17" tall with a diameter of about 10". Using this shade, the resulting fixture becomes 30" tall by about 10" wide and projects 16". We can coat the shade for an amber appearance if desired. Price: $1,850.00 plus shipping. This does include the fantastic giant flame shade either frosted or amber treated.
At this time, we have two of these fixtures only. When they are gone...they are gone. « Less

Hard to find Arts and Crafts LARGE garden or outside social sconces. We have seen similar ones used in home theaters for a nice effect.
Circa 1900, they were constructed as GAS and Electric sconces, like the interior chandeliers made at this time when electrical supplies were spotty at best. Looking on top of the sconce, you can see the gas valve with teeter lever valve which could be opened and closed using a long gas lighter's pole.
The overall height of this great sconce with the chain long is 38", while it's width is 9 1/4". It projects outwards 20". On the short chain fixture, the chain is about 5 inches shorter.
To get an idea of just how large these great lights are, please note the 12" ruler that is included in the pictures.
The original ball shade has a 6" fitter and is much thicker than the re-creations that are made today. It is just amazing that it has survived about 100 years.
This could quite easily accept a 250 watt light bulb or the new induction type bulbs.
We have removed all the rust and replaced perished screws. These fixtures have been re-wired to UL standards and are ready to mount. We are offering the ten fixtures, taken from an estate, finished in either an aunatural Iron and Brass ...or...finishing them in a Semi-Gloss black. When these fixtures are gone, as they say...they are gone. Only ten were pulled from a lovely estate courtyard.
Measurements: Backplate measures: Height: 20 11/16" x Width: 6 3/4". OA Height: 38" x W 9 1/4". Projects 20". Fitter size 6".
Price $935.00 plus shipping charges. Yes, it comes complete with the round globe shade. « Less
