Vintage oval porcelain handpainted box. Made by Le Tallec, who sold most of these pieces via Tiffany & Co in America. Measures slightly under 5 inches tall. Approx 3 3/4 inches accross. Flattened, oval shape. Gilt metal mounts around rims with French Empire style bow-ed thumbpiece for opening. Hinged lid. Black ground with two pale Sevres blue bands, bordered by gold. Chinoiserie painting in the form of a pagoda in gold as well as urns and Oriental style trees/flowers. Exotic birds in bright colours are beautifully painted. The box is very tastefully done in the best Le Tallec tradition - combining great porcelain with wonderful handpainting. Most of their luxurious items were retailed by Tiffany & Co. - an indication of the quality of product they produced. The box is marked underneath in iron red, handwriting as well as the pale blue, often found on their pieces. See ''photos for full script. Condition is good with no chips/cracks. Vintage Wedgwood powder blue and white jasper ring tree. Made in England, 1880 - 1920. Measures approx 2 3/4 inches high, 3 1/4 inches in diameter (base). Pale powder blue ground with white jasper - very finely executed, so it looks like icing (frosting) on a cake. The rim is surrounded by a white band and then a band of acorns and oak leaves - great detail. The moat/bowl has 5 vignettes of Classic mythology scenes with putti, animals, gods and goddesses. An attractive foliate and floral jasper pattern adorns the top of the ring tree trunk. Marks are impressed under the base: Wedgwood on one side and England on the other. Very good condition. Vintage Wedgwood black basalt plate with raised relief MOTHER and showing mother and child. Made in England, early 20th century. Measures 6 1/4 inches accross. Plate with quite a deep well. The center has a scene sculpted in relief showing a Classic Greek / Roman Mother, seated on a chair, playing with a winged cherub / child, an urn behind her and the word MOTHER inscribed below. The back has impressed mark: WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND, which dates the plate to post 1924. There is residue from old lables, but no damage of any sort and no restorations. Bright, canary yellow fine porcelain with all around pattern of overlaid sterling silver. Made in Germany, in Baden-Wurttemberg, in the town of Pluderhausen. Measures a little over 3 inches high. Beautifully elegant baluster shape, narrow on the bottom and widening towards the shoulders. The neck and bottom are entirely encircled by silver. The wonderful bright yellow ground, rarest of all colours in porcelain, has a floral and foliate silver decoration overlaid on most of the surface. It winds and curves with the fullness and curves of the vase and is repeated both front and back. Just below the neck, also in silver overlay is the silver standard which is an amazing 1000/1000 - absolutely pure silver, which is very rarely found. The factory mark is underneath. It looks like a black triangle with M over P seperated by a large S. Around this is written:SILBERPORZELLAN MANUFAKTUR VETHL PLUDERHAUSER. There are also various numerals within the black triangle and handwritten A6/8-79 in iron red underglaze. Condition is very good. We have not cleaned the vase/silver, but it is all in good condition, with no chips/cracks/damage of any sort. Royal Crown Derby part tea set, part printed, part hand painted. England 1942. 6 cups, 6 saucers, milk jug/pitcher and sugar bowl. Saucers are 5 1/8inch diam; Milk jug a litt over 3inches high. Each shaped piece is printed and painted with flowers in pinks, shades of blue and purple, yellows and green. Green scrolling border around each piece. White ground, gilt-line borders. Top quality porcelain and workmanship a good example of Derby at its best. Each piece is marked with Royal Crown Derby mark, Made in England and various red, handpainted numbers and letters. Date letter V stands for 1942. Excellent condition. No chips/cracks to be found, paint is fresh and pretty and gilding not worn.
