Another unique item. Advertising always fascinates me. An original store advertising display. This is as good as it gets for advertising! A complete set on original card stock in the original box, all marked. Electric fence testers made by Accesories Manufacturing Co. Each unit is complete, consisting of a tester in a glass tube, banded with the original paperwork, wiring, and prod for inserting in the ground. Place the Firefly on an electric fence and it tells you whether the fence is active or not. Advertised as weather proof. Other than 2 clean tears in the cardboard backing, it's in exceptional condition. All the printing can be read, and all the graphics are intact. A really unusual piece of vintage advertising! « Less

A rare neon advertising sign for Southern Comfort, late 1940's - early 1950's. Made by Lackner Clocks. Features a 3 dimensional sculptured scene, probably plaster, of a Southern paddle boat under sail with a full moon and a stunning painted mountain background. Details are amazingly sharp and clear, colors are bright and vibrant, surrounded by internal white neon tube. Sign is encased in a metal box with glass front. Original crackle finish and chrome strip on each side are in good condition. Just enough age wear to make it look authentic. There are a few very small dings in the metal, but nothing really notable. Even the original paper label is still mostly there. Wiring is just okay, neon works well. There is one small problem. Our dogs got frisky a couple of years ago, and caused a crack in the plaster. It follows the lettering, pretty much from one side to the other, although it's more noticeable on the left (as you're facing it). It's a hairline crack, and it's been there for over 2 years without any change, so I assume it's not going to get worse. If someone handy touched it up with a dark blue marker or a little paint it would be nearly impossible to see. This is a real bargain for someone with a steady hand and a little initiative. Priced to sell. « Less

This vintage neon sign is a great size! It's a small, tabletop model that's not very common. Unlike most neons it weighs very little and can be put just about anywhere! All it needs is a small circle of glass with your personalized graphics on it. You can do reverse painting, or generate a decal on your computer. It's a perfectadvertisement for just about any business. Put it in a window, it's a real eye catcher! The yellow neon works beautifully, and the face is elegant without being fussy. There are 2 borders imprinted in the face, one on each side of the neon. The tabs are in place to hold the glass face, it just slides right in. The original finish is in very good condition, showing just the wear you would expect in a piece that was probably made in the 30's. Needs a good cleaning, but there are no breaks, cracks, or chips to the metal base, bakelite face, or neon tubes. « Less

Small but exceptional 1940's light up metal advertising sign. All original! Fantastic original pebble grain paint still intact. Looks like it was rewired at some point with a newer, but not new, plug. Lucite sign is also in very good, original condition with virtually no loss of paint. Works well, a fine early beer advertising piece! « Less

Another rarely seen beer advertisement! This neon sign is for Arf & Arf: 'A delicious blend of beer & ale'. It's compact size makes it really unique and desireable. White neon works well, graphics are in near mint condition, glass is in very condition with no cracks or chips, and case shows only the expected moderate wear (with a little white paint on the back). This is one you won't see again soon! « Less

Extremely rare and very early back bar advertising lamp. This bottle of Schlitz beer would look great on your home bar! Much earlier than the cheap plastics of the 60's, this piece is all metal and glass, and both are in excellent condition. No breaks or cracks, brown painted finish shows only the expected wear. I believe this is 40's or 50's, it's a miracle that this piece survived with everything intact! Label appears to be painted on. Paint is in very good condition for it's age with only moderate wear. You might see a few little dings here and there, but that's to be expected and in general the graphics are incredibly clean, down to the original paper labels in back. Schlitz insignia on top is made of metal, and that too is in good condition with no breaks or cracks. Wiring is good, works well. Overall a fine piece, very realistic looking, with only moderate wear. It's nearly impossible to find these early light up advertising pieces in this kind of condition! « Less

This is a quality early vintage advertising sign. Heavy porcelain on steel, this sign was made to last! Definitely not like later tin types, no bending or flexing here. And, it's the more desireable double sided sign! Advertising Piedmont cigarettes, popular around the early part of the century. There is some wear, a few spots where the porcelain is missing (clearly visible in the photos), a little discoloration and oxidation, mostly around the edges. Overall it's in very good condition for its age. Background is a beautiful, deep rich navy blue, lettering is a vibrant white. « Less
