Petite English flame mahogany curio cabinet or small bookcase imported from England and dating back to the 1940's.
To the top front you will find a single glass door with individual panes of glass and original working lock with key. Inside there are 2 fixed wooden shelves and a lower shelf to make three shelves perfect for displaying books, collectibles or china.
The lower half consists of a single door featuring beautiful flame mahogany. This door opens to reveal a storage cabinet with a single fixed shelf.
Crowning the top is an elegant cornice with dental molding.
There is some wear throughout the piece but mainly to the base and around the feet. There is also some minor damage to the cornice. I have tried to show as much of this as possible in the pictures and as you can see it still retains its elegant English charm.
This tall, narrow piece is perfect for that small space you just can't find anything for. It's elegant and functional all in one compact piece of furniture. Over all it is in solid, sturdy condition with age appropriate flaws.
Dimensions: width 21 3/4", depth 13", height 70 3/4".
