The Chautauqua is usually identical in construction to a Concert Roller Organ other than the name, but this 1895 model is a bit different. Typically, a wooden rail is attached to the front of the organ where the crankshaft flange is mounted. But this model has the front rail as part of the glass swell lid and a completely re-designed crankshaft flange. The flange extends upward to hold the crankshaft and the swell lid rail is notched to provide clearance. Since the front rail is now part of the swell lid the front case panel is shorter in height. The swell lid is not original and was replaced sometime in the past. The Roller Organ plays flawlessly and includes 3 cobs. Shipping is not included in the price.
