Antique walking stick, with dog's head as handle. Bull dog or boxer brachycephalic type of dog, with the cruel totally cropped ears that are hopefully no longer allowed. Yellow glass eyes - not matching but quite expressive (right eye is quite baleful). Very nice rendition of the dog, and beautiful patina to the wood. Modern rubber cap fitted to the end - removable. Late 1800s. Stick measures 84 cm long. Very good condition - has a minor natural split in the wood above one eye, but does not detract from the dog's expression or the usage of the stick.
