Extremely rare primitive iron knive used here in north Argentina for cutting sugar cane
Very smart working as you can see at the photos , you put the thumb into a part and the rest of the fingers into the other part , that way is for opening and close , you put the bottom part of the cane and with a movement you take of the part of the reeds not useful ( I hope you try to understand my poor description please )
I think that originally the part when you put fingers eas made of leather.
Very simple work but rare .
