Guilloche enamel and handpainted cigarrette (or calling card) box. Early 20th century, made in France. Measures 2 7/8'' long and 2'' wide. Gorgeous white guilloche enamel in concentric rings. In the center is a purple and pink handpainted rose. The box itself is made of a rich orangy-coloured brass/copper and brass. All the surfaces are crenelated and the top inside has fine engraved lines. There are ''strips'' accross to hold the cigarettes (or cards). The box, enamel and paint are all in excellent condition.
