Circa 1880 Rorstrand Majolica matchbox stand in the form of a column in the center of a circular dish. The column has a shield style motif on either side, and the dish has an impressed scroll pattern on scale effect ground. Brown, blue, ochre and green glazes. Cream reverse with a vent hole, painted ''3'' mark and impressed ''RORSTRAND'' maker''s mark. Very good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. 4ins high, 5.5ins diameter
