The carving on the bowl of this pipe depicts a hunting scene with men on horseback and hounds in the process of taking down a large stag. Pipe has a safety ring on the shank, used in the event the bowl accidentally detaches from the stem. In excellent condition, the pipe measures 3†in diameter on the silver cap, approximately 2 ½†across the bowl, 2†across the shank and approximately 7†in total length, with ivory to amber colour. The shank is stamped with an unidentified European silver mark.
