Sterling/Concord, N.H. William B. Durgin Co. was founded in 1853 by William B. Durgin in Concord, NH. By 1870, the company was a major producer of silver flatware. Following the death in 1905 of both the founder, William B. Durgin and his son George E. Durgin, the company was acquired by Gorham in a long process that culminated in 1924. Includes a sterling pen.
