A superb coaster for a large wine decanter, this early Sheffield silver plate item is in excellent condition. It is 7-7/8 inches in diameter and has a finely detailed neorococo sterling border with overlapped edge and a sterling inlay section engraved with the head of a rampart lion. English, circa 1825.
