For sale is this nice period decanter box. The box is mahogany, circa early 19th century, American or possibly English. Slanted hinged lid with star inlay underneath and shaped front opening to a divided interior, with rope inlay allover. Underside of lid bears label "W. Webber, Taunton, No S268/L40 and the upper edge of back stamped S268. Cracking, losses and repairs to veneer. Losses above escutcheon; losses to rope inlay; hinges replaced. All that being said its still a quality, usable antique in the 200 year old range. The veneer is darker than the pictures are showing. Measurements are 13 3/4"h x 9"w x 9 1/2"d.
