Early 20th century hand painted miniature of a baby girl, framed in an attractive stained yew wood frame. Miniature is painted on a thin panel of either ivory or mica - some grain showing when you hold it to the light. The oval panel itself is a little ragged around the edges, I've shown this in one of the photos, but actually this sits below the mount line, so needn't be seen. Written on the rear is: "Beryl Jeanette Harrison. Born 9/10/17, died 2/4/84." (This can be faintly seen from the front, as the panel is quite fine. Writing could be removed, as obviously it dates after 1984.). English item, frame measures 112 mm by 90 mm (4.3/8/inches by 3.1/2 inches).
