Miniature portrait of Queen Victoria in her younger years, 1840s. The rear of the portrait has the remains of an old browned paper backing sheet on which is written "184... (this part is torn away). VICTORIA. Pitt-Hercules Collection". Typical black ebonised miniature mount, with gilded flower and circle hanger. Whole measures 13 cm by 11 cm (just over 5 inches by 4.1/4 inches). Excellent condition, can't tell on what surface the portrait is painted, as I don't want to remove the backing. Well-painted. Any blemishes in photos will be reflections off the glass under which it is mounted.
Shipping is by International Air Courier (insured) unless a cheaper option is requested.
