18TH Century or earlier Solid Pewter Salt Bowl supported with very nice feet resembling a paw. This is definetly old. I guarantee that. Recently came out of an old estate in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This salt measures 3" in diameter and 1 1/3" in height. Beautiful moulded piece with feet that are just fabulous. I am not that knowledgeable on pewter as I always have admired. I am a dealer in chinese export porcelain and having exhibited at many shows I was always intrigued with pewter.
