18th century (or older) wooden mould for making bricks. Approx 24inches long. Very old wood construction with 2 compartments for packing clay into brick form. Mortar and tenon joints, some old nails. Wood has shrunk with age and is split in parts. Corners are rubbed smoothe and shiny through use and age. A pair of metal loops were added so that this amazing old piece of social history can be used as a hanging shelf.
