This is a very decorative and interesting item from the first quarter of the 17th century during the reign of Louis XIII. This piece was originally the top of a gueridon, it is made of solid cherry, which is beautifully embellished with inlaid floral and foliate patterns combining several type of wood such as Ebony and Sycamore. Note that this piece is in original condition and has a few pieces of inlaid and from the trim missing here and there due to the age. This item is for sale as is. Circa date 1620.
