An ironstone meat platter, circa 1850, made by Davenport in the Cyprus pattern. This is in blue, though it also came in black. Measures 18"x 14". The mark on the back dates it 1840-1860. No chips or cracks. There is significant crazing throughout and the back shows discoloration. The front has transfer loss where the base comes up and meets the rim (a single line around the platter as shown). Overall good condition for 160 years old. Displays quite well and is still quite usable.
