Two large spelter figures of Roman women, measuring almost 20" in height. There is no structural damage, just a lot of paint loss throughout on one while the other has right hand finger loss and is beginning to separate from the base (still attached though). One woman has a spear by her side. Both pieces are entirely metal, including the base. No maker marks to be found. An early pair for sure, late 1800's or early 1900's, maybe even earlier. A little restoration and these will be a beauty. Full period wardrobe and excellent facial figures. The bases match each other.
