WELL EXECUTED BRONZE FIGURAL GROUP Hunting scene depicting Francois 1 OVER HIS STAG. Having a dark brown patina, resting on a marble base. The base of bronze is inscribed J.A H: 14" W: 22" D: 8" Condition: Good ,C.1840 .Henri Alfred Jacquemart (1824-1896) Exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1847-1879. Commissioned by the city of Alexandria to sculpt a large statue of Memhet Ali and also many monuments in France. Also noted for his animalier sculptures in bronze
