The statue is the work of Italian sculptor Vincenzo Pacetti, and is a man with long hair and beard, large toga draped in what covers the body, leaving the right arm uncovered, with a roll of papyrus in hand
On the chest is the inscription: AANAFTAMOO.On base is inscribed artist's name [(Pac) etti] and execution-year 1785.
