A spectacular Roman figure , probably a fragment of a larger work and possibly from an altar piece. Very detailed head with laurel crown , wearing typical Roman garb (non-combat) the tunic a blaze of mottled colors with cream overgarments .Very detailed muscle form carved in chest and back .Gilt highlights to attire .
Italian 17th century (and of course refreshments to the overall figure). Exquiste paint patina
