An outstanding 19th century French hand carved giltwood mirror with water gilded patina. The delicate frame is embellished with an intricately carved floral leaf garland and crested with a shell and acanthus leaves. The square frame exhibits carved trim work and is fitted with a double light candelabrum, centered with an oval beveled glass mirror.
Every inch of this exquisite mirror exhibits the work of a master carver. Overall it is in excellent original condition and absolutely stunning! 20.5W x 35H. Circa 1880.
