Embossed brass Napoleon III Repousse’ mirror, circa 1860. An outstanding example of Repousse’ embossed brass; the detail work is spectacular! Pediment is especially attractive having detailed urns, flowers, swag, garland and mask reliefs. This mirror is of cushion form giving depth and dimensions. The glass is original and the center mirror is a 2†hand-beveled glass. 150 years of age have given the brass a superb antique patina. Excellent choice for an eclectic space or in a classic design.
