This is a magnificent 19th century French trumeau mirror from the Napoleon III era. It has a circa date of 1870. This mirror is classic French with a beautiful faded French cream lacquer and smartly shows it’s age with a beautiful patina. The frame is highlighted by a finely carved gold gilt interior frame which is embellished with gesso gilded carvings of acorns, leaves and crests. The highlight of the mirror is the top section which is adorned with gold gilt relief carved borders which frame 2 large dancing maidens. The mirror has it’s original glass and back side dust cover.
