Great condition—no chips, cracks or repairs—on this antique Arts & Crafts hand-hammered solid brass vase. As shown, this vase features hand-hammered decoration of a frilled top edge and stylized geometric forms on all four sides. There is a pin point on the bottom center which is what the artist used to position this vase and spin it in order to facilitate the hammering process.
As shown, the brass has built up a warm patina over time and there is some light oxidation along the bottom and some light denting which can only be seen at angles. We know it’s difficult to believe these things on eBay, but the piece truly is much, much nicer in person. The camera flash tends to make brass look worse. A great piece to add to your collection.
