Gorgeous antique wood fireplace mantel with original faux finish, dating from approximately 1870. The mantel features a fabulous faux finish made to look like marble in primarily deep red with green details. A black mantel shelf has a fluted edge, moving down to a green beveled level with a decorative center cartouche. The fireplace features a flattened Tudor arch opening. The mantel measures 55†wide, 49-3/4†tall, and 9†deep; the firebox opening is 35†wide and 36-1/4†tall at the arch's highest point.
